FAQs
General Legal Services
Yes, we do. The first consultation helps us understand your matter and advise you on the best way forward. Fees for the session may vary depending on the nature of your case.
Our fees depend on the nature of the work. For straightforward matters like wills or company incorporation, we offer fixed fees. For more complex or ongoing matters, we may charge hourly rates or monthly retainers. We will explain the options clearly during your first consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
Timelines vary depending on complexity and court timetables. After reviewing your case, we will provide an estimated timeline and milestones.
It’s best to consult a lawyer early, before issues become complicated. Whether you’re signing a contract, planning your estate, or anticipating a dispute, timely legal advice can help protect your interests and avoid costly problems later.

FAQs
Corporate Clients
A retainer lawyer provides ongoing legal support for your business at a fixed monthly fee. This covers services such as legal advice, contract review, compliance matters, and priority access to our lawyers whenever you need guidance.
Under Malaysian law, private limited companies are required to appoint a qualified company secretary. They handle statutory filings, board resolutions, and annual submissions. Without one, your company risks fines or deregistration.
The biggest challenge is regulatory uncertainty. Businesses involved in digital assets, DeFi, or smart contracts must comply with laws set by regulators such as the Securities Commission (SC) and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). We provide clear guidance and compliance frameworks to help you operate confidently and lawfully in this fast-changing space.
FAQs
Family & Personal Matters
Not always. A full court trial is not always necessary to obtain a divorce. If both parties reach a complete agreement on all divorce terms (commonly known as a joint divorce petition or an uncontested divorce), the matter can be concluded with a simple, brief hearing before a Judge. Court trials are generally only required when the parties dispute contested issues such as the degree of responsibility in causing the breakdown of the marriage, child custody and guardianship, spousal maintenance, or the division of matrimonial assets (property).
Your estate will be distributed under the Distribution Act 1958, which may not reflect your wishes. Writing a will ensures your assets are passed on according to your intentions.
Debt is usually a civil matter, not a criminal one. The proper route is through a lawyer’s letter, negotiation, arbitration, or civil litigation.
